Successful candidates join IBM as full-time sales professionals on a two-year programme, starting with a year in Dublin, Ireland, followed by career opportunities in the UK. Graduates gain experience working on real client opportunities while developing B2B sales skills through world-class training, coaching, and mentorship at IBM’s International Sales Centre. They then build on this experience with sales development opportunities within IBM UK. IBM UK offers penultimate-year university students a 12-month Industrial Placement or 12-week Summer Placement for those interested in sales careers in technology. Based in London, students work across teams such as Sales Engineering, Data & AI, and Automation, gaining insight into IBM’s client engagement and go-to-market strategies. Interns support a range of clients, from large enterprises to digitally managed accounts, while developing skills in digital transformation, customer engagement, marketing, and sales strategy. The Sales Centre encourages graduates to grow, learn, and connect every day. They benefit from structured learning and sales certifications. IBM’s internship programme includes structured learning pathways, blending online and in-person sessions with expert-led workshops and seminars. Supported by a dual management structure, interns acquire the latest industry knowledge and practical skills.
