Simmons & Simmons is an international law firm built for a changing world. Across four six-month seats, graduates will experience the high-quality work, innovation, and collaborative culture the firm is known for. From the start, they’ll gain exposure to high-end clients and complex matters, building the skills, judgement and confidence to develop a long-term career in law. The firm also offer a range of early careers opportunities, from their first-year insight scheme through to internships and a placement year. These programmes are open to candidates from all degree disciplines. They’ll see how AI, technology and digital solutions are transforming legal services and the way businesses operate. As a future trainee, Simmons & Simmons will cover their law school tuition fees and provide a maintenance grant. Non-law graduates will complete the conversion course, followed by the SQE preparatory course at BPP University. They’ll also have the opportunity to apply for international and client secondments, with trainees previously spending time in Dubai, Singapore, Dublin and Tokyo. Through Compass, the firm’s trainee development programme, graduates will be supported to grow beyond technical legal skills, developing commercial awareness, confidence and the ability to work with clients and colleagues across borders.
