Students and recent graduates can apply to one of Mott MacDonald’s graduate schemes, across all of their business sectors. New graduates will be based in one of the 35 offices in the UK or in mainland Europe. Mott MacDonald offer summer and year-in-industry placements for students currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree. Working on projects alongside graduates and experienced professionals, participants will focus on one of the many sectors and gain valuable experience on community-enhancing projects, learning about the industry and Mott MacDonald as a company. This serves as the perfect springboard onto one of their award-winning graduate career paths, as many of the placement students return to Mott MacDonald after graduating. All accepted graduates join ‘Accelerating Your Future’, a three-year development programme that introduces the key business and commercial competencies needed to succeed at Mott MacDonald. Virtual and face-to-face workshops, as well as group challenges, are used to deliver the programme. Mott MacDonald’s early careers paths equip graduates to advance. They will learn from industry experts, receive structured training, and gain experience on community-enhancing projects. Upon joining, graduates are partnered with a mentor who assists with a personalised development plan, and the company provide professional routes that are accredited by organisations such as ICE, IStructE, IMechE, IET, CIBSE, CIWEM, RICS, APM, and more.
