Each year, Pfizer offers up to 100 university undergraduates a 12-month industrial placement, based at one of the company’s four UK sites. Whether they join in research & development, commercial, or global operations, placement students will be part of one global team, working to bring vital breakthroughs to patients. They are given a high level of responsibility as they support, manage, and deliver projects in one of the world’s most innovative biopharmaceutical companies. During the programme, students will be part of a team that lets them ask questions, share ideas, make discoveries and retain a healthy work-life balance. Staying true to its values, Pfizer supports its new joiners to gain the courage to run with new ideas and to contribute fully to the success of the team in which they work. It provides undergraduates with a unique set of experiences that will broaden and develop the critical skill sets and competencies they will need to be successful in the business environment and to excel in their degree. Placements are listed on Pfizer’s Undergraduate Vacancies webpage from September each year, with new positions added through to December. Undergraduates who complete a successful 12-month industrial placement can apply for Pfizer UK’s Future Leader Graduate Programme; but this isn’t the only route available for graduates looking for a career within Pfizer. A number of entry-level roles are available across its UK sites and these opportunities are advertised throughout the year on the Pfizer Careers website.
