Different perspectives are important to the BBC, as is motivation for the role, a positive attitude and an appetite for curiosity. Evidence of good communication skills, team working and creativity will strengthen applications. Successful applicants will receive a dedicated team manager and scheme specialist to help with their development, professional teaching and mentoring by industry experts, and access to industry-leading training through the BBC Academy. The BBC’s apprenticeship schemes for 2025 are expected to open for applications in Autumn 2024, with assessment centres taking place in early 2025 for a September start.
