The Civil Service supports the government to implement its policies on behalf of every community across the UK. Launching two new schemes this year – cyber security and risk management – it offers proactive and ambitious graduates a choice of 17 different schemes. All of which are designed to help accelerate progression to senior roles in the Civil Service. With opportunities nationwide, each scheme offers high-quality training and on-the-job learning, enabling Fast Streamers to build practical skills. Fast Streamers gain a breadth and depth of experience, putting their knowledge into practice across a range of government department postings. They are encouraged to take ownership of their development, pursuing a career path within a government profession. While the Fast Stream continues to offer opportunities for graduates across all degree subjects and backgrounds, the Civil Service is keen to attract more people with STEM degrees. STEM graduates have a crucial part to play in realising the vision of building a skilled, innovative and ambitious Civil Service equipped for the future. Fast Streamers are valued members of the wider Civil Service community, where people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds are empowered to develop their skills, knowledge and experience.
